G1,G2 Speedo Cable Drive Gear (Z=16) - Natural Colour

Replacement natural coloured speedometer cable drive gear for Volkswagen Golf and Jetta manual gearbox models. This is the Z=16 version used on selected Mk1 and Mk2 applications with 1.5, 1.6 and 1.8 engines including diesel models.
The speedometer drive gear fits inside the gearbox and drives the speedometer cable. Worn or damaged gears can cause inaccurate speedometer readings, intermittent operation or complete speedometer failure.
Volkswagen used two visually similar drive gears on these models which are identified by colour and tooth count. This version is the natural coloured Z16 gear. Vehicles fitted with the red Z15 gear require part number 171957821B instead.
Manufactured from durable plastic as per the original factory design.
