G1 Large Felt Channel (For Use With Chrome Trim)

Replacement large upper window felt guide channel for Volkswagen Golf Mk1 and Jetta Mk1 models fitted with decorative chrome moulding trim. This felt channel runs along the top edge of the door frame and continues down the B-pillar section, helping to guide and support the door glass during operation while protecting the glass from rattles, vibration, and scratches.

Designed with the correct recess to accept the factory chrome trim insert, this felt guide is ideal for restoring original appearance and smooth window operation on classic Volkswagen models. Over time the original felt channels can become worn, hardened, loose, or damaged, causing noisy windows, poor sealing, rattling glass, water ingress, or stiff window movement.

Manufactured to match the original profile, this replacement channel helps restore proper window alignment and sealing while improving the overall feel of the window mechanism. Suitable for left front doors and both left and right rear doors depending on model configuration.

When replacing window felt channels it is recommended to inspect the condition of the scraper seals, quarterlight seals, window clips, regulators, and door membrane seals for best results.
