G1 Front Shock Absorber Top Mount

Replacement front suspension strut top mount complete with integrated ball bearing for Volkswagen Golf Mk1, Jetta Mk1, Scirocco Mk1/Mk2, Golf Cabriolet and Caddy Mk1 models. Designed to support the upper section of the MacPherson strut assembly while allowing smooth steering movement and suspension articulation.

This mount fits both left and right-hand sides of the front suspension and includes the upper support bearing required for correct steering rotation. The integrated ball bearing allows the front strut to turn smoothly with steering input while supporting the vehicle weight through the suspension turret.

Over time original strut mounts and bearings can wear, collapse or seize, leading to knocking noises, vague steering, heavy steering feel, uneven tyre wear or suspension movement. Replacing worn top mounts helps restore steering precision, suspension stability and ride comfort.

Ideal for suspension rebuilds, lowering spring installations, shock absorber replacement or general front suspension maintenance.
