Beetle Tail Light Assembly - 1974-79 - Smoked

This smoked tail light assembly is designed for all VW Beetles from 1974 to 1979, replacing the standard “Elephant’s Foot” style rear lights used on these late-model cars. Featuring a smoked upper and lower section, including the reverse light area, this unit gives your Beetle a cleaner, more modern appearance while maintaining full functionality of brake, indicator, and reverse lighting.

Perfect for restorations with a custom look or for refreshing faded, cracked, or discoloured original lenses, this assembly is a direct-fit replacement for both left and right-hand sides (sold individually). The smoked lens design subtly darkens the lamp without compromising visibility when illuminated.

This tail light assembly installs using the original mounting points. Screws are not included—if required, use part number N0141341A. All internal chambers and light separation are built to factory style, ensuring consistent brightness and improved longevity compared with aged originals.
