Beetle Under Bonnet Air Box Foam Gaskets

Replacement self-adhesive foam gaskets for the fresh air box shut-off valves fitted to standard Volkswagen Beetles from 1968 onwards.
These foam gaskets are fitted to the fresh air box flaps located beneath the front bonnet and play an important role in the operation of the Beetle`s ventilation system. Mounted to the shut-off valves inside the fresh air box, they create a seal when the ventilation controls are closed, allowing the airflow to be properly directed and controlled.
Over time, the original foam seals deteriorate, crumble or completely disappear, resulting in poor airflow control, unwanted drafts and reduced effectiveness of the fresh air ventilation system. Replacing these foam gaskets restores the correct sealing function of the air box flaps, helping the ventilation controls operate as intended and improving overall cabin comfort.
Manufactured from self-adhesive foam for easy installation, these gaskets are ideal when rebuilding or refurbishing the fresh air box assembly during a Beetle restoration.
