Type 1 Fuel Pump Rod (Dynamo Models) - 108mm

This fuel pump push rod is the correct 108mm version originally fitted to Type 1 engines equipped with a dynamo (generator) rather than an alternator. Commonly used on aircooled Volkswagen vehicles up to July 1973, this push rod is 8mm longer than the version used with alternator-style fuel pumps, making it essential to match the rod with the correct fuel pump to ensure proper operation and avoid damage.
It transfers motion from the camshaft to the mechanical fuel pump, operating the internal lever to deliver fuel to the carburettor. The recessed lever design of dynamo-style pumps specifically requires this longer rod.
Important Fitting Note:
Incorrect length rods can either damage the pump (if too long) or fail to actuate it (if too short). Always confirm the correct combination of push rod and pump.
