Type 1 Fuel Pump Flange (Also Waterboxer Fuel Pump Flange)

This replacement Bakelite fuel pump flange, also known as the fuel pump pedestal, is a critical component for the reliable operation of your Volkswagen’s fuel delivery system. Positioned beneath the standard mechanical fuel pump, this pedestal ensures proper alignment and operation of the fuel pump push rod.

Over time, the original Bakelite flange becomes brittle due to age and engine heat, leading to potential cracks or breaks that can interrupt fuel flow or even damage the engine case. This high-quality reproduction restores reliability by providing a durable, precise-fit replacement for the original unit.

Compatible with all 1200cc, 1300cc, 1500cc, and 1600cc Type 1 aircooled engines, this flange fits a wide range of classic VW models including the Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Splitscreen, Baywindow Bus, Type 3 Variants (Squareback, Notchback, Fastback), and VW Trekker. It is also suitable for VW Type 25 Buses fitted with 1900cc waterboxer engines with carburettors.

This part is sold individually and does not include gaskets—be sure to also order gasket part numbers 113127313 and 113127314 for a complete installation. Replacing the pedestal is strongly recommended whenever replacing the fuel pump to avoid the risk of internal engine breakage from aged or brittle flanges.
