50mm Air Hose Seal - Thick Style

Genuine Volkswagen thick style rubber seal for the fresh air hose where it passes through the rear engine tinware above the exhaust. This seal is used on 1200cc to 1600cc based aircooled Type 1 engines and helps close the gap around the heater air hose where it exits the fan shroud and passes through the tinware.

A missing, split or perished seal can allow hot air from around the exhaust to be drawn back into the engine bay, reducing cooling efficiency and increasing engine temperatures. Replacing these seals helps maintain correct airflow through the cooling system and keeps the engine bay properly sealed.

This is the thicker style seal and is a genuine Volkswagen part. It can be used as an alternative to the thin style seal, part number 113119585B, depending on the tinware and hose setup fitted.
