50mm Air Hose Seal - Thin Style

Genuine Volkswagen thin style rubber seal for the fresh air hose where it passes through the rear engine tinware above the exhaust. This seal is fitted to 1200cc to 1600cc based aircooled Type 1 engines and helps seal the gap around the heater air hose as it passes through the rear cooling tinware.

The seal prevents hot air from the exhaust area from being drawn back into the engine cooling system, helping maintain correct engine temperatures and efficient airflow through the fan shroud and heater system. A damaged or missing seal can reduce cooling efficiency and allow unwanted hot air into the engine bay.

This is the thinner style version and can be used as an alternative to the thicker style seal, part number 113119585A, depending on the tinware and hose arrangement fitted to the engine.
