Twin Port Cooling Fan - Type 1 Engines

Keep your aircooled Volkswagen engine running at the correct operating temperature with this high-quality 35mm engine cooling fan, designed for 1300cc to 1600cc twin port engines fitted with the later doghouse oil cooler system.

The cooling fan is one of the most important components of the aircooled engine, drawing fresh air through the fan shroud and directing it over the cylinder heads, cylinders and oil cooler. The wider 35mm doghouse fan provides increased airflow compared to earlier non-doghouse fans, helping to improve engine cooling and reduce operating temperatures, particularly during motorway driving or in warmer climates.

This fan is designed exclusively for twin port engines equipped with the doghouse fan shroud and offset oil cooler. It is not suitable for earlier non-doghouse cooling systems.

Manufactured to OE specification, it offers reliable cooling performance and long service life, making it ideal for both standard restorations and replacement during engine rebuilds.

Inspect the fan shroud, oil cooler and thermostat flaps while the engine is dismantled to ensure the cooling system operates at maximum efficiency.
