This metal speedometer bulb holder is designed to securely hold the instrument bulb in place within the speedometer housing on classic Volkswagen and Porsche models. It provides the electrical contact required to power the bulb while ensuring a firm fit in the back of the gauge cluster.
Over time, original bulb holders can corrode, loosen or fail, leading to intermittent or non-working dash illumination. Replacing the holder restores a reliable electrical connection, ensuring your speedometer lighting works correctly for safe night driving and improved visibility of gauges.
The holder pushes into the rear of the speedometer unit, locking into place and completing the circuit when connected to the vehicle wiring. This simple but essential component plays a key role in maintaining proper dashboard function.
