Beetle Bonnet Seal Mounting Strip - 1100mm Long

Metal bonnet and engine lid seal mounting repair strip for Volkswagen Beetle models. Designed to replace the original body-mounted seal retaining channel which commonly rusts away or is missing during restoration work.

This repair strip is spot welded onto the body and provides the retaining channel for the rubber bonnet or engine lid seal to fit into. It is used around the front bonnet aperture on the front quarter panels, front valance and front scuttle below the windscreen, as well as around the rear engine lid opening.

A damaged or missing seal channel can prevent the bonnet or deck lid seal from fitting correctly, leading to water leaks, poor panel fitment and increased noise or fumes entering the vehicle. This repair section restores the original mounting point for the seal and is ideal for restoration and body repair work.

Manufactured in steel and supplied in a long straight section ready to trim and weld as required.
