Replacement upper right threaded plate for the A-pillar door hinge mounting on Volkswagen Beetle and Karmann Ghia models.
This high-quality repair threaded plate replaces the captive threaded mounting fitted inside the upper A-pillar where the upper door hinge bolts to the body. It provides the secure fixing point required to correctly mount and align the door hinge, ensuring smooth door operation and maintaining the correct door gaps.
The original captive threaded plates commonly suffer from corrosion, stripped threads or damage following accident repairs, making door alignment difficult or impossible.
