Beetle Urethane Torsion Bar Grommets - 1948-59 (Smooth, Fits Inner And Outer)

Replacement smooth urethane rear torsion arm / spring plate grommets for early swing axle Volkswagen Beetle and Karmann Ghia models. Designed to replace worn original rubber bushes and improve rear suspension stability and handling response.

These bushes are fitted to both the inner and outer spring plate mounting positions on pre-1959 swing axle rear suspension systems. Over time the original rubber bushes soften, crack and deform, allowing unwanted suspension movement which can negatively affect rear handling and stability.

Manufactured from durable polyurethane, these upgraded urethane bushes reduce flex and provide more precise suspension location while maintaining good durability for road or performance use.

Replacing worn torsion arm grommets can instantly improve rear suspension feel and cornering stability.
