Beetle Rubber Torsion Bar Grommet - 1948-59 (Smooth, Fits Inner And Outer)

Replacement rear torsion bar rubber grommet for early VW Beetle and Karmann Ghia models up to July 1959. This seal is used as both the inner and outer torsion bar grommet on the rear suspension assembly.

The torsion bar grommets sit between the torsion bar cover plates and suspension housing, helping cushion movement while sealing the torsion bar area against dirt, water and road contamination. Over time the original rubber hardens, cracks or compresses, allowing excessive movement in the rear suspension which can negatively affect handling, ride quality and suspension alignment.

Replacing worn torsion bar grommets helps restore proper rear suspension support and can instantly improve rear end stability and handling response. These grommets are manufactured from 100% pure Grade A natural rubber for excellent flexibility, durability and original style fitment.
