Restore precise, smooth steering with this high-quality replacement steering box for classic Volkswagen models. Designed as a direct replacement for worn or leaking original steering boxes, it helps eliminate excessive steering play, wandering and vague steering feel, returning your vehicle to safe and predictable handling.

The steering box is the heart of the steering system, converting movement of the steering wheel into side-to-side movement of the steering linkage. As original units wear internally, excessive free play develops, resulting in poor steering response and reduced driver confidence. Replacing the steering box is often the most effective solution when adjustment is no longer possible.

This unit is supplied pre-filled with the correct grease/oil lubricant, ready for installation. It is suitable for both Left-Hand Drive (LHD) and Right-Hand Drive (RHD) applications.

Although designed for 1961 onwards vehicles, it can also be fitted to pre-1960 Beetles when used with a 1961-onwards pitman arm.
