Late 180mm Clutch Pressure Plate - 1971-79 - T1,KG

This 180mm clutch pressure plate is a good quality reproduction designed specifically for later VW aircooled Type 1 engines from 1971 to 1979 that are fitted with a 180mm flywheel. It features the late-style design with no central guide ring, making it compatible with the later clutch release bearing—the type that includes integral clips and slides on a metal collar within the gearbox bellhousing.

This setup was introduced in 1971 and became standard on most aircooled VW engines through to the end of production, offering smoother and more reliable clutch engagement than earlier styles. This pressure plate is ideal for replacements, engine swaps, and rebuilds where maintaining compatibility with the late-style gearbox is essential.
