T1,T2,G1 Solex Carburettor Needle Valve

Replacement 1.5mm carburettor needle valve for Solex carburettors fitted to a wide range of classic Volkswagen and Porsche models including both aircooled and early watercooled applications.

The needle valve is responsible for controlling the fuel entering the carburettor float chamber. Working together with the carburettor float, it opens and closes depending on fuel demand to maintain the correct fuel level inside the carburettor bowl. Correct fuel control is essential for smooth idle, clean acceleration, proper fuel economy and reliable engine operation.

A worn or leaking needle valve can cause carburettor flooding, fuel leaks, rich running, hesitation, hard starting and inconsistent idle quality. Replacing the valve during carburettor servicing or rebuilding helps restore correct fuel metering and prevents many common carburettor problems.
