This crankshaft needle roller bearing is an essential internal engine component that fits into the end of the crankshaft to support the gearbox input shaft. It is required on all Type 4 aircooled engines (1700cc, 1800cc, and 2000cc) as well as Waterboxer petrol engines found in VW Type 25 (T3) buses.
Additionally, this bearing is also suitable for Type 1 aircooled crankshaft gland nuts, making it a versatile part for a wide range of classic VW applications.
This is a good quality replacement part and a must-have when rebuilding or upgrading your engine. It helps ensure smooth rotation and proper alignment of the input shaft to reduce wear and transmission noise. For diesel T3 models, a different bearing is required – see part number 056105313C.
