Camshaft Timing Gear Woodruff Key (31mm) - All Aircooled And Waterboxer Engines

Replacement crankshaft woodruff key used to locate and retain the crankshaft timing gear, preventing the gear from rotating independently on the crankshaft. This small but critical part ensures the timing gear remains correctly aligned so the camshaft timing stays accurate.

A worn, damaged, or missing woodruff key can allow movement in the timing gear, causing incorrect valve timing, poor running, engine noise, or serious internal engine damage. It should always be inspected during engine rebuilds, crankshaft replacement, or timing gear work.

Suitable for VW aircooled engines from early 25hp models through 1200cc-1600cc Type 1 engines, 1700cc-2000cc Type 4 engines, and 1.9-2.1 Wasserboxer engines.
