T25,T4,G2 Diesel Water Flange - 1988-03

This engine coolant water way junction fits on the front side of the cylinder head and is supplied with the base seal. It forms part of the cooling system, directing coolant flow through the cylinder head and providing mounting points for the temperature switch connections. With two thermal switch connectors, it plays an important role in managing coolant circulation and temperature-related functions.

Over time, the original housing can become brittle, crack, or leak around the sealing face, leading to coolant loss, poor sealing and overheating risks. Replacing a worn junction helps restore a secure coolant path and reliable sealing at the cylinder head. This is especially important on older diesel VW engines where plastic cooling parts often deteriorate with age.

Ideal for repair or preventative maintenance, this junction should be fitted with the supplied base seal. It is also worth checking the condition of the temperature switches, retaining clips, hoses and any related O-rings while the system is apart.
