Type 1 Top Pulley (Alternator Pulley Or Dynamo Pulley) - 12 Volt (Zinc Coated)

This standard top pulley is designed as a direct replacement for the original fitted to 12-volt dynamo or alternator systems on classic aircooled VW Type 1 engines from 1200cc to 1600cc. Finished in durable gold zinc plating, it offers excellent corrosion resistance while maintaining an authentic factory-style appearance.

The pulley plays a vital role in the engine’s belt-driven system. Mounted on the generator or alternator shaft, it works in conjunction with the crankshaft pulley to drive the fan belt. This belt powers both the charging system and the engine cooling fan, making correct pulley alignment and condition essential.
