Type 1 Fanshroud Flap - Left

Top quality replacement fan shroud cooling flap – left hand side for Volkswagen aircooled 1200cc–1600cc Type 1 engines. This flap is part of the cooling air thermostat system inside the fan shroud and is used to control engine warm-up temperature.
When the engine is cold, the thermostat closes the cooling flaps to help the engine warm up quickly. As the engine warms up, the thermostat opens the flaps to allow full cooling airflow. Missing or damaged flaps can cause slow warm-up, poor engine efficiency and increased engine wear.
This is a German manufactured high-quality replacement flap and is suitable for all Type 1 engines except early 25HP and 30HP engines.
