Type 1 30mm Exhaust Valve (9mm Stem) - 1600 Exhaust Valve (AS+CT Engines)

Standard replacement exhaust valve for Volkswagen aircooled 1600cc ‘AS’ twin port engines from August 1974–December 1982. This valve is used on later twin port cylinder heads and is designed to withstand high exhaust temperatures while maintaining proper sealing and heat transfer through the valve guide.

This exhaust valve features a 30mm valve head, 9mm valve stem, 112mm overall length, and 3 groove collet fitting. It is important to check the measurements of your existing valves before ordering, as earlier engines used different valve sizes and stem diameters.

Worn or burnt exhaust valves can cause low compression, misfiring, overheating and loss of engine power, so replacing valves is recommended during cylinder head rebuilds.
