9mm Valve Guide - Inlet - Type 1 Engines (2nd Oversize)

Second oversize inlet and exhaust valve guide for Volkswagen aircooled cylinder heads fitted with 9mm valve stem valves. This guide is used when the cylinder head valve guide bore has been worn or machined beyond the first oversize, allowing the cylinder head to be repaired and reused rather than replaced.

These guides are manufactured to the original inlet guide specification but can also be used in the exhaust position without any fitment issues. Valve guides support and align the valves and transfer heat from the valve into the cylinder head. Worn guides can cause blue smoke, oil consumption, poor compression, and valve train noise, so oversize guides are commonly fitted during cylinder head reconditioning.

This is the 2nd oversize version with 13.21mm outside diameter (standard size is 13.06mm, 1st oversize is 13.11mm).
