9mm Valve Guide - Inlet - Type 1 Engines (1st Oversize)

First oversize inlet and exhaust valve guide for Volkswagen aircooled cylinder heads fitted with 9mm valve stem valves. This guide is used when the cylinder head valve guide bore has worn or has been machined oversize, allowing the cylinder head to be repaired rather than replaced.

These guides are manufactured to the original inlet guide specification but can also be used to replace the original exhaust valve guide without any fitment issues. Valve guides support and align the valves and transfer heat from the valve to the cylinder head. Worn guides can cause blue smoke, oil consumption, poor compression and valve train noise.

This is the 1st oversize version with 13.11mm outside diameter (standard size is 13.06mm), suitable for reconditioned or worn cylinder heads that require oversize guides.
