T5 Cylinder Head - 1.9 TDI (BRR,BRS)

This complete cylinder head is supplied fully assembled and ready to install for Volkswagen 1.9 TDI engines. The cylinder head sits on top of the engine block and forms the combustion chamber, housing the valves, camshaft and valve gear that control the flow of air into the engine and exhaust gases out. The camshaft opens and closes the valves at precise intervals, while the valves, springs and cam followers ensure correct airflow and combustion, allowing the engine to run smoothly and efficiently.

This complete unit includes valves, valve springs, cam followers and camshaft, making it an ideal solution for engine rebuilds, damaged cylinder heads, worn camshafts, burnt valves or excessive oil consumption caused by valve guide wear. Common faults that require cylinder head replacement include overheating damage, cracked heads, worn camshaft lobes, low compression, difficult starting, loss of power or excessive smoke.

When fitting a cylinder head, it is recommended to also replace the head gasket, head bolts (stretch bolts), timing belt kit, water pump, thermostat and fresh engine oil and filter. The injectors and glow plugs will need to be transferred from the original head unless new ones are being fitted.
