G3 Air Mass Meter - 1.6, 2.0

This air mass meter (MAF sensor) measures the amount of air entering the engine and sends this information to the engine control unit so it can calculate the correct fuel injection amount. The ECU uses this signal to balance fuel and air mixture for correct performance, fuel economy, and smooth engine running.

If the air mass meter fails, the engine may run rich or lean because the ECU is no longer receiving an accurate airflow reading. Common symptoms include poor running, hesitation, lack of power, high fuel consumption, rough idle, stalling, or engine management light faults. Replacing a faulty air mass meter restores correct fuel mixture and engine performance.

This unit comes complete with housing and uses a 3 pin connector. When fitting, always check the air filter condition, intake hoses, and breather pipes for leaks or splits, as unmetered air entering the engine can cause the same symptoms as a faulty air flow meter.
