G2 Water Hose - Water Pump To Water Pipe - 1.6D, 1.8 (16v)

This radiator hose connects the water pump to the main coolant water pipe, forming an important part of the engine’s cooling circulation system. The water pump pushes coolant through this hose into the cooling pipe that runs around the engine, allowing coolant to circulate through the block, cylinder head, radiator and heater system. This continuous flow of coolant removes excess heat from the engine and helps maintain a stable operating temperature.

Because this hose sits on the pressure side of the cooling system and is exposed to constant heat cycles, it is common for the original hose to become soft, cracked, or swollen over time. A failing hose in this location can quickly lead to coolant loss and engine overheating, so replacing worn hoses is essential preventative maintenance on older vehicles.

When replacing this hose, it is recommended to check the condition of the water pump, thermostat, radiator hoses, plastic coolant flanges, and hose clips. Fresh coolant and new hose clips are recommended to ensure a reliable seal and long service life.
