228mm Clutch Kit - Post 1989 Waterboxer Engines

This 228mm clutch kit manufactured by Sachs is a top-quality replacement for VW Type 25 / T3 buses fitted with watercooled 2.1 WBX engines from April 1989 onwards. Designed to match the later 228mm flywheel setup, this kit delivers smooth engagement, reliable torque handling, and long service life—ideal for campers and working vans alike.

VW changed clutch specifications during production, so this kit is only suitable for later engines using the 228mm clutch. Earlier engines may be fitted with a different size—always check chassis numbers before ordering.
