T4 Transporter Water Pump (AAF,AAB Engines)

This replacement water pump is designed specifically for all VW Transporter T4 models fitted with 2.5 petrol (AAF) and 2.4 diesel (AAB) engines. Built to OEM-equivalent specifications, it ensures reliable coolant circulation throughout the engine, maintaining stable operating temperature and preventing overheating—crucial on long-haul, heavily loaded, or workhorse vehicles like the T4.

Driven mechanically from the engine, the water pump continuously moves coolant through the block, cylinder head, radiator, and heater matrix. Over time, original pumps can fail due to worn bearings, impeller corrosion, or seal failure, leading to coolant leaks or overheating. Installing a fresh pump restores proper coolant flow and is recommended whenever servicing the cooling system, replacing timing components (where applicable), or diagnosing temperature irregularities.

This pump fits all AAF 2.5 petrol T4 engines produced from September 1990 to August 1991, up to chassis number 70-N-014000, as well as AAB 2.4 diesel engines from September 1990 to January 1995, up to engine number AAB320127. It is a direct-fit replacement using the original mounting points and coolant hose layout.
