This replacement water pump is for use on T4 Transporters with either 2.4 Diesel, 2.5 TDI or 2.5 Petrol engines.

This pump has 20 teeth on the drive. If you have 18 teeth on your drive then you will need to use 074121004F.

For use on the following T4 engines:

2.4 Diesel with AAB engine codes from January 1995 to April 1998

2.4 Diesel engines with AJL engine codes from August 1997 to June 2003

2.5 Petrol engines from November 1990 to June 2003

2.5 TDI engines from September 1995 to June 2003.

Hi I see there are 20 teeth on the sprocket but I'm led to believe the original on my eurovan has 18teeth. I have a 1995 vw 2.5l 5 cyl petrol automatic. Can you tell me why some have 18 and others 20 please? I also understand that If I go for a 20t I would have to change the cam pulley to 20t as well if its 18t.at. Without stripping it all down I can't tell what I actually have. I guess I could use the old sprocket but I think its hard to get off the shaft. Any advice you can give would help me make the right decision with you. Thanks Fred

You need to install the correct version onto your engine. So you will need to count the amount of teeth you have. If you have 18 teeth then you will need this water pump HERE.
