Sump Plate Gasket Kit - Type 4 Engines

This sump plate and oil strainer gasket set is designed for aircooled Type 4 engines ranging from 1700cc to 2000cc, as fitted to VW Baywindow buses and aircooled Type 25 or T3 buses. It is also suitable for Porsche 912 and 914 models using the Type 4 engine. This kit contains all the essential sealing components required during routine oil changes or engine servicing.

The sump plate gaskets sit either side of the oil strainer and create a leak-free seal between the crankcase and sump plate. Over time, old gaskets can compress, harden, or tear, leading to oil leaks, low oil levels, and a messy engine bay. Replacing these gaskets at every oil change is strongly recommended to ensure proper sealing and protect your engine.

This set includes two sump plate gaskets and a centre oil drain plug crush washer, ensuring all disturbed seals are renewed in one go.
