Front Torsion Leaves

The front suspension of your VDub is controlled by a set of torsion leaves.

The torsion leaves are held in a fixed position in the centre of each tube of the front beam.  At the end of each set of leaves you will then find a torsion arm which is what all your wheels are attached to.

Because the leaves are manufactured from sprung steel they hold the front of the car up in position and can twist and return as you go over bumps in the road.

If you are planning on installing a narrowed beam onto your VDub then your leaves will need to be narrowed to the correct length.  This is something you can do yourself with an angle grinder, a welder and a drill.  But for those of you that want a simpler solution we can supply the leaves narrower than standard ready for you to install in your brand new beam.
