Beetle IRS Urethane Rear A-Arm Bush Kit

Upgraded polyurethane rear A-arm pivot bush kit for IRS (Independent Rear Suspension) aircooled Volkswagen models. Designed to replace the original rubber trailing arm pivot bushes fitted to 1302 and 1303 Beetles, IRS Karmann Ghias and IRS Type 3 models.

These bushes are manufactured from durable polyurethane material which offers improved strength and longevity compared to standard rubber bushes. Unlike original rubber bushes, polyurethane bushes resist deterioration from age, oil contamination and road conditions, making them ideal for long-term suspension upgrades and performance applications.

The rear A-arm pivot bushes support the rear trailing arms where they mount to the torsion housing and are critical for maintaining correct rear suspension geometry and stable handling. Worn bushes can cause rear suspension movement, knocking noises, vague handling and uneven tyre wear.

This kit is supplied with metal sleeves and includes enough components to rebuild both rear trailing arms.

Polyurethane bushes generally provide sharper suspension response and improved stability, although they may transmit slightly more road feel and firmness compared to softer original rubber versions.

The slip-in style design allows easier installation compared to many original bonded bush types.
