The chassis plate shows all the information about a VW Baywindow Buses identity.

It is located in three positions on a Baywindow Bus

  • Behind the passenger seat on the divider panel
  • In the engine bay, just to the right of the engine
  • On the dashboard

The first four numbers identify what the vehicle is and the year it was produced and the rest of the numbers are in sequence to the actual Bus on the production line for that year.
