G7 Performance Foam Induction Kit - 2.0 TSI (Red Hose)

Designed for the MQB-platform EA888 1.8 TSI and 2.0 TSI engines, this Ramair performance intake kit delivers improved airflow, sharper throttle response and a far more aggressive induction note compared to the restrictive factory airbox system.

This version features a red silicone intake pipe, along with the high-flow foam filter and black powder-coated heatshield. The kit is also available with an upgraded turbo elbow, or in alternative silicone colours including black and blue.

What This Intake Kit Does

The factory intake system is built to prioritise refinement and emissions compliance, which often means restricted airflow — especially under load or on tuned vehicles.

This Ramair performance intake improves engine breathing by:

• Replacing the restrictive OE airbox with a high-flow multi-layer foam filter
• Increasing intake surface area
• Using smooth-bore red silicone pipework to reduce airflow turbulence
• Allowing more consistent airflow into the turbocharger

How It Works

The EA888 turbocharged engine relies on efficient airflow to generate boost. When intake restriction is reduced:

1. The turbocharger can spool more freely.

2. Airflow volume increases at higher RPM.

3. Boost response becomes more immediate.

4. Power delivery feels smoother and more responsive.

The included black powder-coated heatshield helps shield the filter from engine bay heat, supporting more consistent intake temperatures.

The Ramair foam filter is fully reusable and can be cleaned using maintenance kit CK-003, making this a durable long-term upgrade.
