G7 Performance Foam Induction Kit - 2.0 TSI (Blue Hose)

Designed for the MQB-platform EA888 1.8 TSI and 2.0 TSI engines, this Ramair performance intake kit delivers improved airflow, sharper throttle response and a far more aggressive induction sound compared to the restrictive factory airbox system.

This version includes the blue silicone intake pipe, foam filter and black powder-coated heatshield. The kit is also available with an upgraded turbo elbow, or in alternative silicone colours including black and red.

What This Intake Kit Does

The standard factory intake system is engineered primarily for refinement and noise suppression. While reliable, it can restrict airflow under load and at higher RPM.

This performance intake system improves engine breathing by:

• Replacing the factory airbox with a high-flow multi-layer foam filter
• Increasing intake surface area
• Using smooth-bore silicone pipework to reduce turbulence
• Allowing cleaner airflow into the turbocharger

The result is:

• Sharper throttle response

• Faster turbo spool

• Stronger mid-range acceleration

• Noticeably enhanced induction and turbo sound

Suitable for standard vehicles and highly effective on Stage 1 and Stage 2 tuned setups.

How It Works

The EA888 turbocharged engine relies on efficient airflow to build boost. By reducing intake restriction:

1. Air enters through the large-surface Ramair foam filter.

2. The heatshield helps reduce heat soak from the engine bay.

3. The smooth silicone intake hose maintains consistent airflow.

4. The turbocharger can operate more efficiently with less restriction.

This results in improved response and more consistent power delivery across the rev range.

The foam filter is fully reusable and can be cleaned using the Ramair maintenance kit (CK-003), making this a long-term upgrade rather than a disposable service item.
