G7 Performance Foam Induction Kit - 2.0 TSI (Black Hose)

Designed for the MQB-platform EA888 1.8 TSI and 2.0 TSI engines, this complete Ramair performance intake kit delivers improved airflow, sharper throttle response and a far more aggressive induction tone compared to the restrictive factory airbox system.

This version includes the black silicone intake pipe, foam filter and heatshield. The kit is also available with optional turbo elbow upgrades and in blue or red silicone versions.

What This Intake Kit Does

The standard factory airbox is engineered primarily for noise suppression and emissions control. While reliable, it restricts airflow at higher RPM and under load.

This performance intake system improves engine breathing by:

• Increasing intake surface area with a high-flow multi-layer foam filter
• Replacing restrictive factory pipework with smooth bore silicone
• Reducing turbulence before the turbocharger
• Allowing faster, cleaner airflow into the compressor housing

The result is:

• Improved throttle response

• Quicker turbo spool

• Enhanced induction and turbo sound

• Stronger mid-range and top-end performance

Ideal for both standard and tuned vehicles (Stage 1 and Stage 2).

How It Works

The EA888 turbocharged engine relies on efficient airflow to generate boost. By reducing intake restriction:

1. The turbo reaches target boost more efficiently.

2. Intake temperatures stabilise more effectively when combined with the heatshield.

3. Airflow volume increases at higher RPM.

4. The ECU can deliver smoother, more responsive power delivery.

The included black powder-coated heatshield isolates the filter from engine bay heat, helping maintain cooler intake air temperatures.

The Ramair foam filter is fully reusable and can be cleaned using maintenance kit CK-003, making this a long-term upgrade rather than a disposable service item.
