G7 Performance Foam Induction Kit - 2.0 TSI (No Hose)

Upgrade the breathing of your MQB-platform 2.0 TSI with this high-performance intake kit, designed specifically for the EA888 engine used across a wide range of Volkswagen Group vehicles. This version includes the foam performance filter and black powder-coated heatshield only, making it ideal for customers upgrading in stages or pairing with an existing silicone intake hose and turbo elbow.

What This Intake Kit Does

The factory airbox is designed primarily for noise reduction and emissions compliance. While effective, it can restrict airflow under higher load and performance driving.

This Ramair performance intake improves airflow by:

• Replacing the restrictive panel filter and airbox lid with a high-flow multi-layer foam filter

• Increasing the available intake surface area

• Reducing turbulence before the turbocharger

• Allowing smoother, less restricted air delivery to the turbo

The result is:

• Sharper throttle response

• Improved turbo spool characteristics

• Enhanced induction and turbo sound

• Stronger top-end breathing on tuned or standard engines

The included black powder-coated heatshield helps isolate the filter from engine bay heat, reducing heat soak and ensuring a cooler, denser air charge under load.

How It Works

The EA888 turbocharged engine relies on efficient airflow into the compressor housing. By reducing intake restriction:

1. The turbo works less hard to achieve target boost.

2. Airflow increases at higher RPM.

3. Intake pressure stabilises more quickly under acceleration.

4. The engine management system can respond more effectively to driver input.

This kit is fully compatible with standard mapping and works exceptionally well on Stage 1 and Stage 2 tuned vehicles.

The foam filter is reusable and can be cleaned using maintenance kit CK-003, making this a long-term upgrade rather than a disposable service part.
