This reproduction rear gearbox mount is designed to replace the original rubber mounts found on pre-1971 Volkswagen swing axle models. Essential for maintaining drivetrain stability and reducing vibration, this mount supports the gearbox at the rear of the frame horn and absorbs engine and transmission movement under load.
Manufactured to replicate the original VW part in shape and fitment, this good quality reproduction is ideal for restorations or maintenance on classic aircooled Volkswagens. Each mount is sold individually, and two are required per vehicle—one for each side of the rear gearbox cradle.
A worn or cracked gearbox mount can lead to drivetrain misalignment, vibration, or even shifting issues. Replacing these mounts restores smooth operation and helps protect the longevity of your transmission and frame.
