Wide 5 EMPI Front Disc Brake Conversion Kit (5x205 PCD) - T1, KG - 1966-79

Upgrade your Volkswagen Beetle’s stopping power with this high-quality Wide 5 (5×205) front disc brake conversion kit, designed for Beetles built from August 1966 to 1979. This comprehensive kit provides a significant improvement over original drum brakes, delivering stronger, more consistent, and fade-resistant braking performance while retaining the classic Wide 5 bolt pattern used on early Beetles.

Engineered as a zero-offset system, this kit maintains the original track width, ensuring no change in wheel position or stance compared with factory drum brakes. This makes it ideal for both stock-height cars and vehicles where original wheel fitment and geometry must remain unchanged.

Supplied complete with a dual-circuit master cylinder specifically for LHD vehicles, this upgrade increases braking safety by splitting the system into two circuits—meaning improved redundancy and safer braking in the event of a failure.

Important fitment note:
This kit is designed ONLY for use with standard front spindles. It will NOT fit drop spindles, as the brake caliper housing will foul the spindle casting. If your Beetle is running drop spindles, a different conversion kit will be required.
