These will not affect the height of your suspension in any way. A Gas shock is firmer than an oil shock so they will not compress as easily so therefore stiffen the rear of the car up a little. In regards to height the process for fitting any aftermarket shock is to remove your current shocks off of the car and sit it back on its wheels. Then measure between the top and bottom mounting point of the shock. Once yopu have that measurement then you need to install a shock that will have around 50mm of upward and downward travel. This is not always possible to achieve but aim to get as close as possible. So in the case of these shocks they compress to 285mm and extend to 370mm. So are ideal for a car that is sitting at around 320mm to 335mm.
