50mm Urethane Rear Torsion Bar Knobby Grommets

These 50mm urethane rear spring plate knobby grommets are a good quality upgrade designed to replace worn or soft rubber bushings in the rear torsion housing of various classic Volkswagen models. With a 50mm (2″) inside diameter, these grommets offer a firmer, more responsive feel and are especially suited for vehicles with adjustable spring plates or early Type 2 buses with modification.

Unlike traditional rubber bushings, urethane does not compress or squash under load, making it ideal for performance or off-road applications. These knobby-style grommets provide a snug fit into the spring plate housing and help maintain rear suspension geometry during cornering, acceleration, and braking.

Fitment Notes:

• Splitscreen (pre-1967) and Baywindow Buses (1968–1979): Can be used inner + outer if knobs are trimmed to a round profile (as smooth 50mm urethane grommets are not available)

• Adjustable Spring Plates: Fits inner position perfectly without modification
