This Beetle caliper bracket allows you to convert a stock Type 1 drum brake ball joint spindle into a disc brake–ready spindle, enabling the fitment of standard VW calipers and discs to vehicles originally equipped with front drums. Important Compatibility Notes:
• Not compatible with drum brake drop spindles — the upper spindle arm obstructs the top caliper mounting hole.
