IRS Heavy Duty Side Plate (Not Baywindow Bus)

Under hard acceleration or heavy cornering, especially in high-horsepower setups, the factory steel side plates can flex—leading to ring and pinion separation, which can cause serious and costly damage to your gearbox.

This precision-machined aluminium replacement offers superior rigidity and resistance to flex under load, maintaining proper gear mesh and protecting the internal differential components. Ideal for use in racing, off-road, or high-performance street applications, this side plate is a must-have upgrade for anyone pushing the limits of their aircooled transmission.

Sold individually, one is required per gearbox. Fits all IRS (Independent Rear Suspension) Type 1 gearboxes, including those used in:

Not suitable for Swing Axle gearboxes or IRS gearboxes fitted to Baywindow Buses.
