EMPI`s new premium extractors are made from 1 3/8″ 16 gauge steel with extra thick flanges.
Tubes are mandrel bent to insure smooth exhaust gas flow.
All flanges are surface ground to insure flat sealing surface and finish ground on I.D`s.
The 3-Bolt muffler flange is at the 1 o`clock position and will accept the following mufflers:

Fits all 1300cc to 1600cc based Type 1 engines.

NOTE: EMPI Headers and Mufflers are coated with a layer of paint which acts as a rust inhibitor and may burn off once they get hot. It is best to clean off the coating with a good solvent then paint the system with quality hi-temp paint. Systems are not warranted against rust.

FAQs
They are pre heat holes. If you are using the original single carburettor and manifold then these connect to the pre heat pipes on the bottom of the manifold. The heat from the exhaust then transfers up through these pipes to stop manifold icing. If you are using twin carburettors then these are not required and you will need to fit some heat riser block offs onto the exhaust (See product AC2512501)
