Fibre Inlet Manifold Gasket - Type 1 Twin Port Engines

This fibre intake manifold gasket is a good quality replacement part designed to fit between the intake manifold and cylinder head on all VW Type 1 twin port engines from 1300cc to 1600cc. Used on a wide range of classic VW models, this gasket ensures a reliable seal and optimal airflow at the manifold-to-head connection.

Fibre gaskets are especially valued in performance applications, as they can be easily trimmed or port-matched to accommodate ported or polished cylinder heads, making them the perfect choice for both stock and modified engines. Their compressibility allows them to adapt to slight surface irregularities, offering improved sealing over time.

Sold individually, two gaskets are required per engine—one for each cylinder head.

Installation Tip:
Apply a light coating of gasket sealant or copper spray (if desired) and torque manifold nuts evenly to prevent leaks or warping.
