Solex 31 PICT Carburettor Spacer (1" Thick)

This high-quality carburettor spacer/adaptor kit is designed specifically for stock Solex 28 to 31 PICT carburettors and is essential when carrying out a 12-volt alternator conversion on classic air-cooled Volkswagen engines. When upgrading from a dynamo to a larger-bodied alternator, clearance between the carburettor and alternator can become extremely limited. This precision-machined 25mm thick spacer raises the carburettor safely and securely, providing the extra room needed so the linkage and choke mechanism can operate without fouling on the alternator body.

The spacer features a 55mm hole-to-hole bolt spacing to match all standard inlet manifolds for Solex 28–31 PICT carburettors. Once fitted between the carburettor and the inlet manifold, it increases the height of the carburettor by 25mm, allowing clean, unrestricted operation while maintaining excellent airflow and sealing.

Manufactured from durable material to resist heat and fuel exposure, this kit includes everything required for installation: studs, nuts, and quality gaskets to ensure a perfect, leak-free fit. No permanent modifications are necessary, making it an ideal solution for restorers and anyone upgrading to an alternator.
