8mm Case Savers - 12mm OD - Set Of 8

Restore stripped or damaged case threads with this set of 8 steel case savers, designed for use with 8mm case studs on VW 1300cc to 1600cc aircooled engines.

Case savers are threaded inserts that are installed into the engine crankcase to reinforce or repair the threads for your head studs. They are essential for any engine rebuild where thread integrity is in question, especially in magnesium cases which are prone to wear or cracking.

These are 12mm outer diameter inserts with a 2mm thread pitch, sized to accept standard 8mm studs. If not previously fitted, the case will need to be drilled and tapped to accept them.
